We left Whitehorse and the weather improved until about 100 miles out of Watson Lake where the roads turned to ice. Things were a little stressful until we nearly slid into a jack knifed semi truck with the trailer blocking a good part of the road. We stopped to help, the guy was pretty shaken. After awhile, another a truck arrived at the scene and we moved on, a little more stressed. The van actually had no problems, 4WD was on and the camper and van were toasty and warm.
Mark had to break the ice off the camper with a wrench.
Watson Lake where the liquor store is open and busy at 9am.
