In October 2011, we left Fairbanks and drove across the United States to Miami, shipped our van and camper to Cartagena, flew to Colombia with our two dogs, picked up the van and camper and then spend the next six months driving to Tierra del Fuego. We broke down, adopted a dog, shipped a smart phone to Peru and had many other adventures. In May 2012, we sold our camper in Santiago, put the van into a container and shipped the van to Los Angeles which took six weeks. During those six weeks, we went to Bolivia and to the Amazon and eventually six of us flew to Dallas and then Las Vegas and two of us and the dogs flew to LA and retrieved the van and bought another camper, we all were reunited in Vegas and drove back to Alaska.
